Mick Jagger x Lee Oskar
whynow Music
Mick Jagger has immortalised the harmonica in rock and roll, championing its usage across his wide catalogue. In both the Rolling Stones and his solo career, Mick has put the harmonica at the forefront of his music.
Lee Oskar developed his love for harmonicas in iconic funk band War, dedicating his time thereafter to designing and manufacturing the perfect harmonica.
The collaboration is a meeting of minds, techniques and experience, pooling knowledge and personal preferences to deliver this limited collection.
The campaign tells the story of the instrument’s metamorphosis in the hands of Mick. Time lapse photography and high shutter speeds juxtaposed with fast cuts, scanned isometrics and overlays from the shoot captures the evolution of the harmonica from an American blues instrument to a grittier mouthpiece for British rock and roll angst.
